Formula - OR and dates

I have the following formula:

=IF((OR(B2="Sunday",B2="Saturday")),0,1)

However, I can not make it work properly.

The cell B2 is a date formatted: mmmm to have it render the day of the week. B2 is based on A2, which is just a regular date formatted: mmmm d, yyyy.

How do I make the above formula recognize that which day of the week is rendered in B2 correctly?

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.
