Formula Problems

I appologize if this question has been asked before, but I searched the database before deciding to post.

Problem: I have two files that contain many many workbooks (days of the week data for two systems) and are set up the same, with the exception of a minor problem I can't seem to find. Each file has a workbook named "Today" and within this workbook there are many formulas that link cells to other cells within that workbook. I have another workbook names "ENMCS" within the same file that has links to cells in the workbook named "Today". The cell in the "Today" workbook is an easy addition formula, the cell in "ENMCS" is an "=Today(then the cell information).
When I open the file and access the "Today" workbook I always right click on the tab and make a copy then rename the copy to something else, thus always having an up to date "Today" workbook. For some reason the "ENMCS" workbook does not alway read the updated information from the "Today" workbook. If I entered the cell in the "ENCMS" workbook and hit enter it updates....how weird.
The other file I have that has the same formulas and similar data works fine. Evereything updates as I make changes to the "Today" workbook. I've compared the two options and everything looks fine. I'm Lost.

Any ideas.

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
So you checked that Automatic is set in the Calculation tab of the Tools|Options menu?
