I have devised a formula that brings together information from one worksheet and puts the results into a Summary Sheet. The problem that I am having is that, although the 'Insert Function' button shows a formula result, the worksheet cell remains empty.

=SUM(IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$H$10:$H$1063="C",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$L$10:$L$1063=3,IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$G$10:$G$1063="10-1\No Fines",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$I$10:$I$1063="M",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$A$10:$A$1063="Oct",'TARMAC - Concrete'!$L$10:$L$1063,0),0))))) is the formula used. The answer should show as '6.00' but comes up with '0.00'.

I have checked cell formatting is correct, number with 2 decimal places.

Can anybody suggest what I am doing wrong.

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest

Hi Philip

That looks like an array formula you are using, in which case you will need to confirm it with Ctrl+Shift+Enter (not just with Enter). if you've done it successfully, Excel will surround the formula with curly braces:

Code:
{=SUM(IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$H$10:$H$1063="C",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$L$10:$L$1063=3,IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$G$10:$G$1063="10-1\No Fines",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$I$10:$I$1063="M",IF('TARMAC - Concrete'!$A$10:$A$1063="Oct",'TARMAC - Concrete'!$L$10:$L$1063,0),0)))))}
