formula question, probably an easy one

I have some data i would like to sum.

items,value,totals
abc,5
abc,10,15
def,15
def,20
def,25,60
ghi,5
ghi,10
ghi,15
ghi,20,60

I need help with a formula that will sum the totals at the end of the equal items as shown above...Please help...Jeff

Formula in C1 copied down column

=IF(A1=A2,"",SUMIF($A$1:$A$9,A1,$B$1:$B$9))

On the surface it appears as,

=SUMIF(CriteriaRange,Criteria,RangeToSum)
