Is there a formula that will look at a range of dates and return the earliest or latest date? I would appreciate your help on this. Thanks from,
ovadeso.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Try using the MIN and the MAX function with the range of cells containing the dates.

I tried MIN/MAX function but it seems to restrict the size of the range to 30 rows. Is there a work-around for that?

To return the earliest (miniumum) date use
=MIN(IF(List<>0,List,FALSE))
To return the latest (maximum) date use
=MAX(IF(List<>0,List,FALSE))

Note: List, means your range eg, A1:A10

Also, these are array formulas and need to be entered with Ctrl+Shift+Enter

=MIN(Range)

=MAX(Range)

where Range can be something like B2:B100, F2:N2, or C:C.
