Hi All

I have a strange problem, Excel 2003. Its a simple formula, =COUNTA(E7:E16) however for some reason it does not work (nor will the formula work any where on the sheet). If you click on the Function insert the Formula Result does actually have the correct result, but the value in the cell does not change. There is an error saying that the formula refers to empty cells, which it obviously would???

When i sent the spreadsheet to another computer with excel 2007, everything worked fine. This leads me to believe that the problem is in the excel 2003 settings, but I can not figure it out for the life of me.

Anyone run into this problem before?

**Edit** F9 doesn't work, auto calc is on

Thanks

Kallee

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
E7 = x
E8 = k

Otherwise it is blank, I highlighted and cleared the blank rows to be sure. The cells are not formatted as text, so no luck there.

The formulas work, as i can see the proper result, but they just wont display in the cell. I have tried other formula's doing a =countif(E7:E56,"*"), tried it on different columns, different rows.

thanks
