Formula: Return value of Cell A1 + x number of columns over

I need a formula that returns the value that I have in A1, plus x number of columns over. X could be anywhere between 0-24, and ideally I would like x to be a cell reference.

Example: X is 3. Formula is written in cell B1. So return me that value 3 columns over from A1 - i.e. the value in cell D3.

Is there a formula to help me?

Why D3, do you mean D1?

If you "X" value (0-24) is in A2

=INDEX(A1:Y1,A2+1)
