Hello,

I need help in creating a formula that would calculate every 3 months

this is to let other students know how long they have to complete an incomplete class before it turns to an F grade.

i.e if they get the incomplete in Fall 02 they basically have 5 semesters before it turns to an F grade

Fall 2002 Spring 2003 Fall 2003 Spring 2004 Fall 2004 Spring 2005

Can this be done with an IF statement ? of should i just type it our?
any info would help
thanks

Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
I don't think you've made your requirement very clear. What information do you have and what do you want a formula or formulas to calculate?

If you have a date in A1 you can add 3 months to it with

=DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+3<DAY(A1))

or

=EDATE(A1,3)

note: EDATE is part of Analysis ToolPak add-in
