Hi guys,

Do you know a formula that converts a date with this format 2020/01 into the number of the month? E.g. 1

I've been looking on the internet and I couldn't find anything.

Thank you,

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
IS 2020/01 an actual date in the cell ?
formatted as date YYYY/MM

=MONTH(cell) will bring back the month

if its TEXT then
=VALUE(RIGHT(cell,2))
will extract the 01 and change to a number
