Hi Everyone,

I have to sort some data and the text is all combined into one cell,
I'd like to pull out the stock code number.
now this is the second 4 digit number in the cell
the data is in column A

here's a few examples but the 4 digit can be anywhere in the cell but I'll use a few to give you an idea of what I'm up against.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Is it always number after ":"? Try:
Code:
=VALUE(MID(A1,FIND(":",A1)+1,4))
