Hi,

I am trying to create a formula based on values.

In column A I have a series of £££ values some plus and some minus.

I need a formula that will put "Issue" if any of these values are above or equal to £50 and above or equal to minus £50. If they are below £50 then I want to it to say 'Below Threshold'

So far I have:

=IF(AND(A1>=50), "Issue", "Below Threshold")

What I can't seem to figure out is how to add the above & equal to minus £50 part, I have tried adding this: =IF(AND(A1>=50, A1>=-50), "Issue", "Below Threshold") but it doesn't work, please help :)

This is my data set attached and its just not working for the (975.00)

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
-975 is less than -50 so I would expect it to be "Below Threshold"
At a guess, is this what you mean
=IF(OR(A1>=50, A1<=-50), "Issue", "Below Threshold")
Or
=IF(Abs(A1)>=50,"Issue","Below Threshold")
