Hello!

I'm going to try to explain this as best as I can, hopefully, it's understandable.

I have a sheet with all my data which is named "Data".

I'm trying to find a way to get the last entry from staff members, containing their project.

In sheet "Data" do I have column B in which staff members write their name.
In sheet "Data" do I have column C with 4 different projects that the staff members write in, depending on which project they are working on.
(I've uploaded an image, as an example.)

I want to automatically get the latest project of a staff member in column F.

I hope this made sense. I have tried to find a way to make this work for a very long time without success.
I appreciate all help.

Best regards, Re1ease.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
How about
Excel Formula:
=XLOOKUP(E2,B2:B100,C2:C100,"",0,-1)

Solution
Hello and thank you.

Excel Formula:
=XLOOKUP(E2,B2:B100,C2:C100,"",0,-1)
This seems to be giving me a naming error. I'm not certain of what could be the cause of that error.

Are you using Xl 365 as per your profile?

I am. I figured out what caused the error, I'm using Excel in another language and I simply translated "XLOOKUP" poorly. In my language, it's "XLETAUPP".

It doesn't seem to work as intended, I uploaded an image of the result.
The formula doesn't seem to be grabbing the latest input. If you take a look at Mark in column B, his latest input is "B" and the column in F outputs "C".

Ok, check that you don't have any leading/trailing spaces in any of the cells with Mark.

I copy-pasted "Mark" from column E into column B, replacing it. It works now.

I can't tell you how happy this made me thank you so much!
