What is the formula for converting

020101 into 01/01/2010?

I've tried the left and right formula but was not getting the correct results.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
how did you get 01/01/2010 from 020101? the way i see it says 02/01/2001. if that's what you meant, then here it is:

=date(right(A1,2) +2000, mid(A1,3,2),left(A1,2))

P.S. +2000, of course

Thank you. You're right but I meant 01/01/2002.

It is read out by year, month, and day (i.e. 020615 = 06/15/2002) In that case would this formula still apply?
