Can anyone help me? I've been trying to figure out an Excel problem for a while.

Basically, what I need is an IF formula, one result of which is a standard answer, and another result is a Data Validation table.

So, for example, if A1 equals 1 then B1 will equal 1. However, if A1 equals 2, then B1 should be a dropdown menu that the user can choose from.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Not using formulas, no.

If you use 2 cells then you can do it.

For example, if A1 = 1, then B1 = 1. If A1 = 2 then B1 = blank and C1 = drop down menu.
