formulas autofilling in rest of table

I'm making changes to a table (2007) and whatever I do in one row it instantly ripples through to all the other rows in the table as if I had copied and pasted it (all relative references change too).

I've never had that before and think it may because i defined it as a table (or something like that) that I don't normally do.

How can I stop this behaviour?
 

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Try the below


Press the options button on the Office Ribbon Button

Select Proofing and then click the AutoCorrect Options

--> uncheck the 3rd option which should be under the tab auto format as you type (Fill formulas in tables to create calculated columns)


I dont use tables that much, so let me know if this works or not

Ahaaa! Thanks mate. That seems to do the job nicely. It also explain why when i add a column it mysteriously becomes part of the table...
