Formulas in Excel XP are not valid in 2000. Is there a way to make them valid in excel 2000? They seem to change automatically.

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
#Value! is in the cell where the following formula is =+GETPIVOTDATA("Sum of June YTD Actuals",$A$70)

In XP you type the + and select a total cell in the pivot table and XP automatically creates the formula =+GETPIVOTDATA("Sum of June YTD Actuals",$A$70) where the formula in 2000 use to be +C78. A70 is a blank cell. But it works in XP and in 2000 they get #Value!

The plus sign has nothing to do with your #VALUE! error. Your GETPIVOTDATA arguments are in the wrong order. Take a closer look at my recommendation above and see the Excel Help topic for "GETPIVOTDATA worksheet function".

Your syntax =getpivotdata($A$70,"Sum of June YTD Actuals") works in 2000 and not XP.
His syntax =+getpivotdata("Sum of June YTD Actuals",$A$70) works in XP and not in 2000.

Since the syntax for the getpivotdata command is different in XP and 2000, is there a way to turn off the way xp automaticlly uses the getpivotdata command and just selects the cell like in 2000?
