Hi !!

I have problem with formula not being updated. All my excel file has this problem and when ever I update my excel workings the totals or any other formulas given doesn't update itself. Always I have to go to the formula and double click and enter, it to work.

I have checked whether my excel is set to manual calculations and ensured its set for automatic. Even I pressed F9 yet my formulas doesnt get update it self. I have big trouble with this as I have huge file with huge no of formulas.

Pls help me on this

thanx

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hi!!

Thanx for the reply. But I'm not using any macros in any of my work books.

1. Yet should I use this and run each and every excel work book?

2. if so, Should I delete the macro after it is being run?

Advance thnx

Are you absolutely sure that calculation is set to Automatic when the workbooks are open? That is the only thing I can think of that would affect all workbooks.

Hi

Am quite absolute on this, i repeatedly checked, i feel like crying , i just stared going into each & every cell to update formula and I really dont know when I can finish doing this way and quite doubt about the completeness of my work, and am frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I really appreciate if some one can help me to get rid of this..

If it happens with every single excel file then it has to be manual calculation. If it's just one large file, then it's probably corrupt.
Once you update a formula and save the file, does it then update if you change the data again?

Im just doubt about macro .. I get always privacy warning message (document inspector) when ever I save my excel files. This message comes for all my excel work books.

Check Tools-Options-Security tab - is the 'Remove personal information from file properties on save' option checked?

Thanks for all your effort,, when I check my workings (excel) from different PC, it is working fine. So I re-installed office (in my pC). Now it seems working well

Hi,,

I hope I have still same problem after I re-installed MS Office. Sooner I installed when I check my excel works it was working fine, But some hours later when I open the same file the formula doesnt work.

I have used scroll bar with offset formula, that doesnt work even, my vlookup formulas not working when I update something within the given range. But when I check the same file with another PC it is working fine. Can any one give me solution for this ??
