is this possible?

A1 = blue fill
A2 = yellow fill
then the sum (@ A3) will be another selected color (green)

if three different color... (sum = black?)

thanks
the fill of cell A1 and A2 is the result of a conditional format

i suppose one possible solution would be to also place a number in the cell.
then if the sum of numbers = a number, then conditional format

would this work and is this the only way?

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.

A1 =.........=AND(N$1>=$B$2,N$1<=$C$2)
A2 =.........=And(N$1>=$C$2,N$1<=$C$2)

i am using a Gnatt chart...
basically, i want to take about 80 lines of data, many of them blank...
and turn them into one line, (if only one thing was done between a time, then the color will remain the same, if 2 jobs, i can have a color for when the 2 thing colors are combined, and if more than 2, then give black color)

make sense?

thanks
