=IIf([Tot_Auth]>1000000,"Tier 1",IIf(([Tot_Auth]>=149000) And ([Tot_Auth]<=1000000),"Tier 2",IIf(([Tot_Auth]>=500) And ([Tot_Auth]<=149000)","Tier 3","< 500")))


This forumla is giving me a invalid syntax error. Can anybody see what i am doing wrong.

Right at the end of your statement, you have a double quote before the comma, just before the quote of Tier 3. Remove that first double quote before the comma.

By the way, do you really need the <=XXX portions? You have already taken care of that portion of your question. The only way you can get to the question "Tot_Auth>=149000" is if Tot_Auth IS less than 1000000, so why ask the question again?
