Lets just say my Worksheet is 7 rows wide (a-d) and 5 rows long. In each row I have a total coming from data on a separate sheet. Column D is set up as a Total column for values in b-c. So it would look like:

1--A--B--C--D
2--1--2--3--6
3--5--2-1--8
4--3--2--1--6
5--1--1--2--4

My question is since my actual chart is much longer than 5 rows long is there any kind of formula or easier way to input the each sum formula at once or am I going to have to do each row one at a time?

Thanks!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi AMM.

The answer is probably yes, but we would have to know how the data is arranged on the other sheet so that we might suggest a method of identifying the correct cell reference.

Is there a consistant space between the source cells? Is there some other cell which identifies which cell is the source? perhaps a label of some sort.

BTW "A to D" is not 7 rows wide, but four columns wide

Put this formula in Cell D2.
Code:
=SUM(A2:C2)
Double click the fill-handle to copy to the bottom row of column D.
