Forward Sorted Cell Content to Another Spreadsheet

I have certain cells of spreadsheet 1 filled with content. Those cells content are carried forwarded into designated cells in spreadsheet 2 by way of the =(name of spreadsheet 1 and cell letter/number) formula in spreadsheet 2 cells. Easy-peasy. It works fine. However, my end goal is to forward the contents of those certain cells from spreadsheet 1 into spreadsheet 2 AFTER I sort spreadsheet 1. In other words, I want the spreadsheet 2 cells to update to the content in the spreadsheet 1 cells after I sort spreadsheet 1. As it works now after sorting spreadsheet 1, the spreadsheet 2 cells are getting populated with wrong spreadsheet 1 content; not the content I need after I sort spreadsheet 1. I want the spreadsheet 1 and 2 cells to match after sorting. Is there a different formula I should be using for the spreadsheet 2 cells other than what I'm using now? =(name of spreadsheet 1 and cell letter/number).

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
