Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to automaticaly transform a number into a date. Ex. : I have 19980615 and I want this to be 1998-06-15, june 15 of the year 1998. I tried with the format of the cell, but that doesn't really transform the number, it just a different format on the screen. I have to transform a large number of data. Thanks.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.

Select the cell with the date, and go to Data\Text to columns.

Select Delimited and click next. Uncheck any delimiters that may be selected, and click next. Under Column data format, select Date, and choose YMD from the dropdown. Click Finish, and you should get a date format instead.

Hope it helps,

Hey, VP -- you gave him the A-list answer; I tried to slap him with code that wasn't needed.
