Function does not respond to Calculate

I've created a simple function to check the font color of one field in a table of data. The function is entered in numerous rows corresponding to the data table. What I find is that the function does not recalculate when I hit F9 and it's not responding when the font color changes. So far the only way I've found to execute the function is to enter the cell in edit mode and hit a return. Is there any way to force all instances of the function to recalculate?

Assuming you mean a UDF, you need to include:

Application.Volatile True

in the code.
