In this function, how do I tell excel to look for any real number, instead of a spacific number.

=SUMIF(C2:C999,"ANY REAL NUMBER",E2:E999)

Thanks :) Robbie

care to give an example? I take it from your previous posts you don't mean "real" in the mathematical sense of real numbers....

Heh...actually, I think I do mean an actual real number, in the math sence...um, any whole number such as 0, 3, 140, 2000, etc.

You can't as such... but

=SUMPRODUCT(ISNUMBER(C2:C999)+0,E2:E999)

would.

What are you trying to accomplish?

E.g.:

=SUMPRODUCT((F3:F5-INT(F3:F5)=0)+0,G3:G5)

Aladin beat me to it, but just FYI, the reals include the irrational numbers, which are non-repeating / nonterminating decimals. The set of real numbers is not co-extensive with the set of integers.
