Function to Convert Cell Reference to Values

Can someone advise me what function to use to convert a cell reference to its values?

Say, A1 has a value of 10. What function should i use so that when, in B1, i type

=function(A1)

I'll get 10. Thanks.

no need for a function, just a reference:

=a1

Thanks for the reply, paddyd. But what if i need to use it in a let's say, in vba coding. Don't i still need a function?
