function to encode a string into a string of 26 characters

Hi everybody. I used a function to get the hard drive number. Now how do I encode to another string (26 characters) so that the user cannot decompile. I used the code to convert to MD5 code, but some windows 10 machines can't run due to lack of libraries. Sincerely thank
