Hello All,
Question:

Background:

  • I am currently using this add-in via Excel 2010 (32-bit version) running on Windows 7 Pro (64-bit)
  • My computer hardware is very sufficient which includes:
    • Intel i7-4702MQ @ 2.20 GHz
    • 8 Core CPU
    • 16 GB RAM
    • 421 GB free hard disk space
  • Given my current configuration and need to work with very large data sets (numbering in the tens - hundreds of thousands), I frequently encounter the "system out of memory" error message. This error occurs despite my efforts restarting Windows, ensuring only the Excel application is running (essentially allocating all computer resources to Excel), and breaking down my data sets into more manageable "chunks".
Theory:

  • I believe that by upgrading to Excel 2016 (64-bit version) running on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) will allow me to work more efficiently with the Fuzzy Lookup Add-In so long as it's compatible.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

Hi All,

Apologies for not referencing the cross-posted link. Chalk this up to me being a newbie and not reading the "Forum Rule #13" more closely. Last thing I want to do is waste anybody's valuable time.

As an update, I received confirmation that the Fuzzy Lookup Add-In for Excel is compatible with Excel 2016 (64-bit) and Windows 10 (64-bit). Link below:

Any additional thoughts on the question at hand are always welcomed
