Hello all,

There are a few excel files which members of various teams use on a daily basis, to get some info and input it to a specific tool. The requirement here is to make a single file, which would get data from all these different files and show up in a single file under 1 format. The issue I am facing is that all these files have completely different format.

For e.g. in one file one product is mentioned as "10 PC Chocolate Biscuit" and in other file "1 pack Chocolate Biscuit". So, in my opinion, even a small change can make the target file unusable and since there is no control over if the source files can get changed, it is not a feasible work to do.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, in one file data moves vertically and in other there are small squares for every quarter. Does this even sound feasible to be done? If you need more info, please let me know.

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
one possibility, assuming that the same data is recorded for each product area, is to develop a standardised excel that everyone uses.
if this is not feasible, then it is always possible to collect the data and reformat in VBA
