Making a file that I added some basic macros (recorded ones to switch between sheets via a button). Long story short, the file size has grown to 200 MB! This is a very basic sheet with no pulling data from other sources not contained in the workbook.

How can I scale this thing down?

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Try this:
1. F5
2. Special...
3. Objects
4. OK
5. Delete button

On each sheet, start in cell A1 and press CTRL+END, I'm guessing it will take you to some very far away, what appears to be, an un-used cell.

Instead, if you go to what you think is your very last used cell and then delete all the columns to the right of this and rows below this, immediately save your workbook and then repeat for each worksheet, it should reduce the size of your file.
