General question when typing & seeing options in vba editor

Morning,

More often than not when im typing in the vba editior i dont see the options drop down selector appear.

I mean if i start to type .Font a list of available options that can follow are then shown & you then select one so its then prefilled for you.

What am i doing wrong ?

Intellisense only works if the editor can determine the type of object that is being referenced. So if you type Activesheet followed by a dot for example, you won't get intellisense since Activesheet returns a generic Object type (the active sheet could be a Chart rather than a Worksheet). If you declare a variable as a Worksheet, then typing a dot after the variable name will provide Intellisense options since the editor knows that variable is a Worksheet (even if you assigned it using Activesheet)
