I have a list of about 130 items and new things get added to the list every day. Of particular interest to me are items containing the indicator 'TR'. These are work items identifed by TR followed by a number (e.g. TR245, TR1281, etc.)

I need a solution to maintain a list of TRs on another tab. This way, I can run some lookups to see if a new TR is already on the list or not.

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Tabs and lookups sound like Excel terms, but this question is in the Access forum. Just to confirm, are you trying to do this in Access or Excel?

AH! No wonder I wasn't seeing a huge response thanks - not sure how this happened. User error, i'm sure.

Cheers!
