Hey guys. Terroriser of old ladies here. I had a question about generating a unique ID similar to in Access. I already know about how to do the MRAND function and make it static to generate to repeatless group of numbers, that can then be sorted if necesary, but I wanted to know if there are any other cool ways of creating a repeatless ID for each record?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Typically this is done using a macro. You would store either the last used or next available number in a cell, and then when you do something to create a new record (e.g. click a command button or enter text in a specific column) the macro would look at that stored number, increment it accordingly and place it where needed.

The row number is unique. Get it with the formula =ROW()
