A am trying to get the value of a cell in a closed workbook. Any idea on how I can do the below? It works if I have the workbook open and remove the file location. Thank you in advance!
eqque2 = Workbooks("F:\MODEL\Trading\Queue\test\MAB Pending.xls").Sheets("Queue").Range("k1").Value

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Here is the code I used last time

VBA Code:
Function GetData(Path, File, Sheet, Address)

Dim Data$
Data = "'" & Path & "[" & File & "]" & Sheet & "'!" & Range(Address).Range("A1").Address(, , xlR1C1)
GetData = ExecuteExcel4Macro(Data)

End Function

This is not fast. If you have too many data, then it is significantly slow.
