Get file names from a folder

I am trying to get all the file names out of a folder and paste them into cells A1 to A# , how can I do this?

Use the Dir function:

Public Sub List_Filenames()

    Dim folder As String, filename As String
    Dim row As Long
       
    folder = "F:\Temp\Excel\"    'CHANGE AS REQUIRED
    If Right(folder, 1) <> "\" Then folder = folder & "\"
       
    row = 1
    filename = Dir(folder & "*", vbNormal)
    While filename <> ""
        ActiveSheet.Cells(row, 1).Value = filename
        row = row + 1
        filename = Dir()  ' Get next matching file
