I'm am a stuck newby in ACCESS. I haven't done anything in access before but know programming, VBA, and RDMS (some better, some passing). I have a Access database structure that I have designed and have had checked. My data is in spread sheet (2000 records) that I have reused some columns for different things (readablity) but the data does all link together (in my mind). I have tried to convert the spreadsheet into tables, but because of the size it gets really slow and I loose my mind trying to kept it working and the relationships connected. I have tried to import one table at a time, but again I start to loose data intgerty.

How to move forward easly and quickly?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Sometimes it helps to work out the plan or design of your process on paper, so you can figure out the "big picture" rather than getting muddled in particular details that are causing problems. First and foremost, you need to figure out if the project is feasible in Access, before you just start putting data into tables instead of spreadsheets - i.e., you need to first work out what is the overall database design here.

access can only import 1 table at a time, BUT
you can put several queries (or transfer commands) into a macro and import them 'all at once' in succession.
