Ok, click on the following link and click into the Album called 'Spreadsheet'.

The photo called 'Spreadsheet B' shows that I have clicked into a cell (where the new column was created next to column i want to filter), and the formula is shown in the formula bar...

Im stuck from here!

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
I can't see enougfh detail from your images, though no doubt could were I to enlarge them. to post inages to the board, you jshould use the html maker addin (see the html maker faq thread at the top of the board).

that said, one way to filter for coloured cells would be to return a flag to another cell in the same that indicates a cell in the row is coloures, then kfilter on that. a description of a method to do that is here:

...however, if you are doing that, then you may as well have done it in the first placer - i.e. rather than simply colouring the cells of interest, you could (should?) have had another field for 'cells of interest' - if you wanted colours you could then have used the value in the field to drive a conditional format.

you could also use vba - I'm sure a search on the board would throw something up.
