Goalseek and Data Validation together

Hi
I am using goalseek to find a solution, this works fine. My problem is that the cell that is being changed has data validation on it to only allow values between a certain range, and the goalseek is ignoring the data validation.
Any suggestions for a way around this?
Thanks

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Use solver instead, as it allows you to include restraints (these can be matched to your data validation).

Note that this is an add-in.

I tried that but Solver needs everything on the one sheet and this is a large workbook with the variants on a different sheet. I'll have to move some cells around I guess.
Cheers

Alternatively, post what you have and maybe someone can help to avoid using Solver or Goal Seek.
