Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to set up a graph so that it only uses cells that contain values.

My chart is for a daily usage runs from Monday to Sunday and is a line graph. but my problem comes with empty day makes the graph dive to zero and then return back up on the next day.
some weeks can use only two days and some can have upto seven days.
Is there a nice and easy way to redo my chart

Thanks Neill

Hi Paddy

Funny I was just looking at a joke site called paddysworld.co.uk.
Anyway I don't quite understand what you mean, do you mean just take the cells out of the data range. If so that isn't quite what Im after, I want a universal graph that can be used for all if possible.

"do you mean just take the cells out of the data "

No, i mean apply a filter.

Describe the data you are plotting, how it's set up etc

in case you need to interrupt the line on the NA value, you'll need VBA.

or go to tools>options-chart tab and select "plot empty cells as:" either not plotted or interpolated

Whoops, forgot about that one, sorry.

But this does not work for error values, just for blanks, right?

If the cell value for the graph formulaically returns NA then it'll interpolate else AFAIK you're right :)
