Hi,

I am trying to graph 3 data sets. 1 data set represents integers while the other 2 data sets represent percentages. I want to represent the integers on the primary Y axis as a column graph while I want the other 2 data sets that are percentages represented on the secondary Y axis as 2 line graphs.

The "Line - column on 2 axes" custom chart within the wizard puts 2 of the data sets on the primary Y axis as column graphs and I cant work out how to change it so that the 2 data sets are represented on the secondary Y axis. I have included the data sets below. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
Jeremy

Profit Increase in Price Increase in Margin
7500 0% 0%
8500 2% 13%
9500 4% 24%
10500 6% 32%
11500 8% 38%
12500 10% 43%

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Select the data series on the graph
Right Click
Select format data series
Select axis tab
Select plot on secondary axis

Hopefully that should do it

Hi Gord,

Ive tried that however excel places the first 2 data sets on the primary axis as a column graph and the the third data set on the secondary axis as a line graph.

I need the two percentage data sets on the one axis as a line graph and I cant get excel to do it.. If anyone can answer this one Ill be impressed.

Thanks
Jeremy
