Hi in my excel sheet, I have so mnay columns. Actually that sheet has part numbers, and due dates, like when they are due to customers.

Now what I want to do, I want to grop them.like Main assy, 2055xy has 10 sub assemblies. Like 10 parts make up one main assy 2055xy.

Those sub assy numbers going to be mix up in all sheet, if I want to sort my main assy and then sub assy, how would I do that?
Any Idea how I can keep all information together.

Thanks in advance
amna

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
If I read your message correctly I beleive your problem can be resolved with a Data Sort? Would your MainAssy and SubAssy figures be in different columns? If so, then highlight all the data rows (this will keep all the data together after the sort) and then select Data, Sort and sort 1st by the MainAssy Column and then by the SubAssy column. The result would be SubAssys sorted Ascending and grouped together with their respective MainAssy.
Hope I didn't oversimplify your request. Let me know if this is kinda what you're looking for.
