group records that are within a range of dates

hi,
I have a spreadsheet that has a number of 2000 records, they all are events that have a start date and and end date
so i need to create a pivot or a filter of the events that fall in the same range or if they have a difference up to 2 days

for example
Name start End
A Jan 1 Jan 5
B Feb 1 Feb 3
C Mar 2 Mar 4
D Jan 4 Jan 4
E Feb 2 Feb 4

so here we have 3 groups.
Jan 1 to Jan 5
Feb 2 to Feb 4
and Mar 2 to Mar 4
first step is to identify the records so i can group them and the 2nd one to to present them...
let me know if you have an idea
