Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You have given very little information. I suggest that you investigate Pivot Tables that have the ability to group dates.

Hi Marwan,

OK, when you say:
I'd like to analyse the first year and the second year...etc.

What do you mean? What analyses do you need to make and if you can give an example (an articulate, detailed example) would help.

Dear Gents,
What you think there are no ladies here?

Thanks all whether ladies or gentlemen.

I have a list of dates since 2013 till 2018 listed by day. I want to find the return of a stock for the first year, three years and for the five years.

Hope that is clear and my apologies for any inconvenience.

Many thanks,
Marwan
