Hi all,

I have a project that has resulted in more data than Excel can fit into one worksheet (it's about 500 columns by 1,500 rows). The data was originally sorted in Excel in two tabs, which were then saved as two .csv files. Is there a way to merge the two .csv files into a single .csv file? Basically, I'm trying to append the columns from File2 to the end of the columns in File1.

Thanks for any help,
Bill

Two ideas (neither of which are perfect :( )
1) Use Excel 2007 - it will let you have up to 16,384 columns!
2) Use a dos copy command - but this will copy the data into the same columns, not the same rows with additional columns, so it depends what you need to do with the data after you have it in one file. The command is simple:

copy file1.csv + file2.csv filescombined.csv

fasteddie - thanks for the reply. The dos copy will come in handy at some point; unfortunately, for this application, I need the additional columns. Oh well. Regardless, thanks for the tip.
