I have been using a Shared Workbook fo sometime now at work the file usually varies a little but never exceeds 10Mb. Today it has suddenly grown to 250Mb and is unusable over the network.

If I go to the Share Workbook tab. I have Dont Keep Change History checked,Automatic save set to 10mins, Ask me which changes win checked, Print Settings checked, Filter settings checked.

Can anyone give me a few pointers. I dont know where to look fist.

I am using Excel 2003 on all workstations.

Al help appreciated.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Thanks for the info Dave. I did try that but it didn't make any difference.
The strange thing is the file went from 9Mb to 250Mb without any formatting changes. People had entered data but I guess only enough to increase the file size by a meg or so.

I'm glad you found your solution eddy

It's a real pain when something random and unexplained happens as most of the time others have never seen the issue arise.

I'll keep this post in 'My Favourites' incase I ever see a similar thing happen again.

Cheers
