grrrrrrr. printing heap of blank pages

I know there is a reason, and i know it probably has something to do with some named formula, but I can't get rid of the extra "blank" pages when I print.

If I go to "edit/goto/last cell
I keep going to a cell miles from my last visible text. No amount of col or row deletes etc will get rid of it.

I have checked my named formula and it seems to be relataive to the cell I am in.

I seem to remember a expert having some helpful script on this problem but can't seem to find it.

Any help or directions appreciated

Try saving your workbook after you have deleted the unwanted rows and columns. That should reset the last cell (equivalent to End Home).

If that doesn't work post back with more details about your named formula.

Hi Andrew, hmm I did not no about the resetting of the last cell, but alas, that did not stop my six pages of print coming out as twelve (six blank).

I have established it is printing the six pages to the right of the work area (not below) and I am almost certain that no text is creeping across into that area.

I have a named formula called "Trade" which substitutes this formula


=SUMIF('L3Carolina 140 V (2)'!colA,('L3Carolina 140 V (2)'!B288/100),'L3Carolina 140 V (2)'!colH)

any other ideas?. i seem to remember a detailed work thru to solve this but can't recall where. Thanks so far Andrew

OK, found it.

Yep it was some text (spaces) that must have been causing the grief.

Found it by systematically deleting text lines.

Thanks Andrew, the resetting of the last cell is good info worth knowing .
