Having to click next field for updating a subtotals field

Hi

I currently have fields of data that have currency values in them. I then have subtotal field to sum all these values up.

The problem i have is when i go to enter data in the indvidual values the subtotal will only appear when i click on the next value.

Is there any way around this?

If I understand your problem correctly then, no, there is no way around this. A value is not 'entered' in a cell until you select another cell or press Enter (which selects another cell anyway) or press Ctrl + Enter to remain in the same cell.
