Hi, I'm pulling my hair out in my office because I can't figure a problem out in excel, what I've got is 4 cells with numerical values in and I want to multiply then togther so say (A1)*(B1)*(C1)*(D1) , that works fine until one of the cells contains a zero, the whole calc stops I understand why it happens but is there a way that zero cell can be ignored? tried IF statement but seemed to many computations!!! to be honest I'm stuck
If anyone could help that would be great.

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
edit: Wrong formula, give me a sec!

Here we go (welcome to the board btw!):

=PRODUCT(IF(A1:D1>0,A1:D1))

Confirmed with CTRL, SHIFT and ENTER - not just enter.

Hi Jeffery,

=SUMIF(A1:D1,">0") will add the values, not multiply them.

Alex,

Glad you got it working.
