Your welcome. We just upgraded to 2007 here also, and I am also having "fun" adjusting to all the new changes. I don't mind the ribbon, but I can't say I am all that wild about the new look. And some of the security changes are driving me a little bonkers.

Tell me about it :eek:/ I’m actually stuck again… I just finished creating a small macro and I can’t find the “set warning”… I changed access to enable the macros but, I still can’t find it… and I also can’t find the “compact and repair “..

Both can be found under Access Options. To get there, click on the Microsoft Emblem in the upper left hand corner of the Access window, then select Access Options.

Macro Settings
- Click on the Microsoft Emblem in the upper left hand corner of the Access window
- Select "Access Options"
- Select "Trust Center"
- Select "Trust Center Settings"
- Select "Macro Settings"

Compact & Repair
- Click on the Microsoft Emblem in the upper left hand corner of the Access window
- Select "Manage"
- Select "Compact & Repair Database"

Not sure. Note that under the "Macro Settings" listing, there is also one named "Message Bar". You may want to choose the first option, "Show the Message Bar in all applications when the content has been blocked.". That will at least give you the message when stuff has been blocked.

You can also set up Trusted Locations, so it will trust the VBA of any application found in a specified directory/folder.

Dang… I’m just about to give up and go back to the old Access.. . I can’t set/find the stupid “Set warranting” for my macros…..

I have gone to the “Trust Center Setting” and have “Enable all macros”… I have add the path to where that database is and listed it as a trusted location… I don’t know what else to do…

(Sigh)
