I have a column of data in the format of yyyymmdd. For example, 20060101 would be 01/01/06. I want to change the format of these cells to mm/dd/yy. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
if yyymmdd is in cell A1 then put this in B1:
=date(left(a1,4),mid(a1,5,2),right(a1,2))

but it will not reformat the number in the same cell.

You could also select the column, then click on Data, then Text to Columns,
Click on Next, Next, Select Date, then YMD, click OK.
