Hi All,

I realise this is entirely unrelated to Excel however have had so much help on these forums in the past I thought I'd post this request anyway.

Essentially I need to produce a diagram for use in a PowerPoint presentation. It doesn't need to be too fancy, just needs to look half decent.

The diagram needs to show two areas, functionality and cost, and how as you increase the functionality, the cost increases with it.

It was suggested I could use a "swingometer" with a double headed arrow (so functionality along the top and cost along the bottom) however the problem with this approach is that people naturally read from left to right, and so the costs will go from ££££££ to £, potentially confusing the reader.

Does that make sense?

Matt

hi there,

what's wrong with good old linear chart? you have the functionality measure as X axis, and cost as Y

Master Excel Bundle

Excel contains over 450 functions, with more added every year. That’s a huge number, so where should you start? Right here with this bundle.
